In March 2020, at the very beginning of the kovid pandemic, filmmaker Boris Mafzir conducted a series of online interviews with Israelis who emigrated from the Soviet Union in its final year. What was life like for this generation of Jews? What did it mean to be a «Soviet Jew"? And how did the «fifth point» — the nationality column — define and subordinate the entire social, professional and personal life of Soviet Jews?
