A single contemplative shot of a soft October morning's first light over the Salish Sea is juxtaposed with an unflinching audio mix that is chilling, historically riveted, and peppered with statistics about sexual assault, screaming seagulls and women's fury. Laced with audio vestiges from the hearing on sexual assault allegations made against Brett Kavanaugh in fall 2018, Waking in Real Time is an effort to alchemize my own rage productively, by making art.
