To ensure that BAN CHA will not betray him, LUI SAM makes him take the drug so as to control him. BAN CHA begs TOK YING to cure him. FONG WAI has to shoulder the responsibility and takes care of her in a rural village. KONG is caught by BAN CHA. BAN CHA deceives her, saying that TOK YING will not marry her. However his attempt is a vain one as she loves TOK YING only.
