While waiting for the doctor to greet him, he recognizes a ball player from a prior generation waiting for physical therapy as well. Throughout their conversation, flashbacks ensue, showing the audience what the world of Palmetto Pointe was like leading up to the days before Tristan's departure. Tristan and Lacy are happy, Josh tells Callah he's in love with her and they share their first kiss...and then tragedy strikes...and we're right back where we started.
