TAI throws blood and passes out when he learns about WAH’s miscarriage. The imperial doctor says that TAI is out of his mind due to the loss of his son. SAM has been keeping an eye on TAI. She reports what she has found to MAN. MAN decides to let TAI return to Beiping, but CHING and the others think he should kill TAI instead. FUNG tries to find out the truth of the slaughter from TAI’s record but fails. He vents his disappointment at YEUNG. SAM misses TAI. Her reflection in the mirror refuses to act as her body double anymore.
