When Yugo used the Eliatrope Dofus' to help Percedal battle Ogrest, he had inadvertently created a time loop in which a shadow race, the Eliotropes, were created long ago. They were essentially copies of Yugo, but they slowly began to die off, leaving Oropo as the last.
