TO YEE MUI returns the seal to the court and is caught. YUNG MAN CHEUNG interrogates her about CHAN MUNG TAK's whereabouts but MUI refuses to say a word. FONG TONG KAN suggests to release MUI and then MAN would follow her to locate CHAN. In fact, he makes arrangements for MADAM TO to reunite with her son. MADAM TO asks MAN to release CHUE CHEN TZE . Conscious of his responsibility, MAN dares not do it, falling into a dilemma. Learning about CHUK’s past from FONG, MAN sympathizes with him and changes his mind. He promises to report to the court that CHUK is dead and thus he can make his escape, much to CHAN's delight.
